PopOff

Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Before publishing: the operator name, address, governing law and the liability figure below are placeholders in [SQUARE BRACKETS]. Fill them in and have the result checked by someone qualified where you operate. This is a plain-language draft of how the product actually behaves — it is not legal advice.

PopOff is run by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME]. By making an account you agree to what is on this page. If you do not, please do not use it.

Who may use PopOff

How to behave

PopOff is a study space. The rules are short, and they are enforced.

What you post

What you write and upload stays yours. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy and display it inside PopOff so the app can work — a message has to be stored to be delivered, a profile photo has to be shown to be a profile photo. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that sit in backups until those age out, and anything the law requires us to keep.

You are responsible for everything you upload. By posting a photo or anything else, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and that you have the agreement of every identifiable person shown in it. Do not upload:

Accounts that upload stolen or infringing photos are closed, and such content is removed when we find it or when it is reported.

Copyright and takedowns

If you believe something on PopOff infringes a copyright you hold, send a notice to support@popoff.club that includes:

We remove infringing material promptly and, where appropriate, tell the person who posted it — who may reply with a counter-notice if they believe the removal was a mistake. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.

Your responsibility to us

If something you post or do on PopOff — breaking these rules, infringing someone's rights, or uploading content you had no right to — leads to a claim against [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] or costs us money, you agree to cover those reasonable costs and losses, so far as the law allows.

Moderation

Rooms have hosts and moderators; communities have owners and admins; PopOff has staff. They can mute, block a camera, remove somebody from a room, close a room, or suspend an account. Serious matters — anything involving a child, a credible threat, or a crime — may be reported to the authorities.

If you think a decision was wrong, write to support@popoff.club and it will be looked at by a person.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Profile ▸ Account & privacy. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, or if we have to for legal or safety reasons. If PopOff itself shuts down, we will give reasonable notice so people can take their content out.

What we promise, and what we do not

PopOff is offered as it is. We work to keep it up and safe, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, or that everything anyone posts is true or lawful. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to [the greater of what you have paid us in the last twelve months, or INR 1,000].

Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Third-party names

Names of other products or games that appear in PopOff belong to their owners and are used only to say what a thing is. [Check this list before launch — see the note in the project README about the board-game names used in the Games section.]

Law

These terms are governed by the law of [COUNTRY / STATE], and disputes belong to the courts of [CITY], unless the law where you live says otherwise.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the app will say so. Carrying on using PopOff after that means you accept the new version.
